103 Runners From Wilmette, Kenilworth Finish Chicago Marathon

Local runners joined 37,235 others for the annual 26 mile, 385 yard-course through downtown Chicago and the city’s neighborhoods.

Wilmette's William Haveron, 42, and Syndy Sampson, 41, were the area's top finishers in Sunday's Bank of America Chicago Marathon, according to the race's results page. Haveron finished the race in 1125th place with a time of 03:04:16 and Sampson finished in 2470th place with a time of 03:19:03.

Sampson was 301st among female competitors.

95 people from Wilmette completed the 26.2-mile race, along with eight Kenilworth residents.
