  • Why Go?: Current Events Roundtable is the place to enjoy your second cup of coffee along with a roundup on the leading national, international and local news of the day.  The group, moderated by Deerfield resident Don Levinthal, covers all points on the political spectrum.  Newcomers are always welcome.

Wilmette Author to Speak at Chicago Jewish Authors LIterary Series

  • When: Monday, August 6, 2012, 7:00 pm
  • Where: 461 Waukegan Rd, Northbrook
  • Why Go?: Barbara Froman has always loved movies. The Wilmette resident, who will speak at Max and Benny’s Chicago Jewish Authors Literary series says, “There’s something magical about sitting in the dark and watching stories unfold on a large screen.”

Starlight Theatre Presents: The Barefoot Hawaiians 

  • When: Tuesday, August 7, 2012, 8:00 pm
  • Where: Wallace Bowl, Gillson Park
  • Why Go?: Starlight Theatre in the Wallace Bowl at Gillson Park presents "Aloha Night" with The Barefoot Hawaiians. The show begins at 8 p.m.
