Hear Foundation Community Garden Seeks Volunteers

  • Where: 2001 Waukegan Rd, Glenview
  • Why Go?: Can you give two hours of your time to help feed a hungry family in our area? If so, please join us at The HEAR Community Garden at Techny, a joint project of the HEAR Foundation and Techny Divine Word Missionaries.

FREE Family Education Workshop-Alzheimer's Disease or Other Dementias

  • When: Thursday, August 30, 2012, 6:30 pm
  • Where: Wilmette Public Library1242 Wilmette Ave
  • Why Go?: Beginning in August of 2012, Home Instead Senior Care of Skokie will be offering a series of free educational workshops on Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. These four workshops are open to the public, and focus on helping families understand the disease, as well as learn strategies and techniques for managing challenging behaviors. The series includes four workshops that will be led by Tania Herbert, a trained professional from our office, who also administers a more in-depth Alzheimer's & Dementia training to our company's CAREGivers.
