Gallery: Wilmette Puts Community Photography on Display

North Shore Community Bank hosts exhibit featuring a dozen local photographers.

Bank customers and visitors will be treated to a free art exhibit this month at the as the bank hosts "Tapestry of Travels", a photography exhibit including the work of a dozen Wilmette photographers.

The month-long show is sponsored by the in celebration of Arts Awareness Month. An opening reception for the artists and friends was held Tuesday night at the bank featuring snacks and beverages and live jazz provided by The Impromptu Trio.

"I enjoy bringing the artists together in the community," said Jan Loew of the Fine Arts Commission who organizes the yearly exhibit. "We don't always have the same group, this year we have some new people in the exhibit. We try and find a good variety of work."
