Professional organizer Cindy Levitt (peace by piece organizing and design) will share effective strategies for organizing both your home and office to create uncluttered space and a peaceful atmosphere. Then social entrepreneur Brittany Martin Graunke (Zealous Good) will provide information about where to donate those unneeded items for maximum social benefit, focusing on local charities and not-for-profits.

Plaza del Lago’s 9th Annual North Shore Treasures: Collectibles and Antique Appraisals

  • Where: Plaza Del Lago Shopping Center1515 Sheridan Rd, Wilmette

3rd Annual Rockin' Romona

  • Why Go?: Pack your picnic basket and come join the Romona Community for our very own version of Ravinia at Romona…a fun-filled evening with live music on the Romona lawn hosted by parents of the PTA. This is a wonderful way to meet up with friends, get to know new families and to show your support for the community.

Comedy at the Mette presents Ever Mainard

Traditional Karate Center Community Day Open House

  • When: Sunday, September 9, 2012, 1:00 pm
  • Where: Traditional Karate Center3217 Lake Ave, Wilmette
  • Why Go?: In order to help the public better understand the benefits of karate training, Traditional Karate Center will hold a public event to showcase a more authentic picture of the discipline so that people may gain a clearer understanding of what it is and what it is not. A number of demonstrations will take place among students at a variety of karate ranks and there will be opportunities to talk to instructors as well as students to better understand the art. In addition, there will be traditional Japanese foods available to sample along with games and prizes. The event will be casual and fun. There is no cost to attend and registration can be completed at the door on the day of the event.

Walking Tour: A Stroll Through Time (Linden Square)

  • When: Sunday, September 9, 2012, 3:00 pm
  • Where: Wilmette Historical Museum609 Ridge Rd, Wilmette
  • Why Go?: The Wilmette Historical Museum is offering a stroller tour this fall, giving families with younger children the opportunity to learn about the history of Linden Square in Wilmette. Goodie bags with crayons will be provided for young children. Although the tour is designed for parents with children in strollers, everyone is welcome. The tour is free but reservations are required by phoning the Museum at (847) 853-7666. The meeting location will be given upon registration.
