Glenbrook Teacher By Day, New Trier Township Clerk By Night

Glenbrook North High School teacher Jerome Hoynes’ public service started long before he was elected New Trier Township Clerk in 2009, back in college he was appointed and elected as a city council alderman in Eureka, Ill., Wilmette Life reported.
The social studies teacher who grew up in Winnetka and graduated from New Trier High School in 1985 says his job as a teacher and clerk fits perfectly because many of the functions that the clerk does are similar to that of a social studies teacher, for example, taking meeting minutes is recording, preserving or securing history, Wilmette Life reported.
