Labor Day: What's Open, What's Closed in Wilmette, Kenilworth

Sure, you get the day off but with all the closures, will you be able to get the things done you need to this Labor Day?

 

Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 3 and the unofficial end to summer. What are your plans?

The Wilmette Public Library will be closed Sunday and Monday for Laborday and reopen on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Community Recreation Center will be open Monday from 8 a.m to 2:30 p.m, but there will be no classes.  

In Wilmette, Monday's yard and refuse waste collection will be delayed to Tuesday due to the holiday. In Kenilworth, there will be no waste collection Monday, there will only be one waste pick up in the village next week.

Also, there is no mail service on Monday.

All Village of Wilmette and Village of Kenilworth offices will be closed Monday but will reopen Tuesday.

Wilmette's dog beach will be open on Labor Day.

All banks are closed on Monday in observance of Labor Day.
