Recently we asked readers to help their fellow commuters out by telling us the worst roads in their communities.
We received more than 30 comments on What Are the Worst Roads to Drive on?
We used readers’ comments to compile a map of where they thought some of the worst roads were along the North Shore.

Did we miss a road that you think is really bad to drive on? Tell us where it is and why in the comment section below and we’ll add it!
Here are some highlights of reader feedbacks:
Many readers felt Ridge Road in Evanston needed improvements such as widening the road or making a traffic light at the intersection of Ridge and Monroe activated by cars.
Near Oakton Community College, Patch reader Kavan Sidhu says an intersection on Golf Road was called “suicide circle” when the reader was in high school.
Green Bay Road received some complaints too, Patch reader David Greenberg says at the intersection of Laurel Avenue and Green Bay Road in Highland Park, a left-turn lane is needed “to help alleviate the right side ‘beatout’ drivers who floor it and almost take out parked cars.”

Winnetka Avenue, between Happ and Hibbard, and Frontage Road in Northfield are a shambles, which is a disgrace since they primarily serve students at Loyola Academy and New Trier West.
I recently paid a fortune in car repairs associated with potholes on the car my son uses almost soley on those shambles of roads.
I have complained to Northfield, which gets property taxes from businesses alng those roads -- and they say it's not their juristiction -- apparently they are unicorporated Cook County so no one cares. And given the amount of deer in the area, sudden stops on those ruble paths are even more hazardous.

East bound Church from Ridge to Chicago avenue is extremly difficult. First the narrow east bound lanes due to the addition of the bike lanes. Also as you proceed east & enter the metra/CTA viaduct & exit you have to cut left because the driver has to avoid the cars parked on the south curb & then the bike lane right in front of any east bound car that is in the right (south) lane! Similar problem in the east bound lane between Sherman & Chicago avenues where there is "No Parking" on the south curb but cars & trucks still park while unloading passengers & freight causing any bike rider to move into the already narrower east bound vehicle lanes.
I sure hope more thought goes into the Davis Street bike lanes in 2013.
