Five New Trier High School wrestlers qualified for the state wrestling tournament this past weekend after placing at the Barrington sectional meet, according to IHSA results.
- Colin Kenyon, junior, New Trier High School; second place at 113 pounds.
- John Benson, senior, New Trier High School; second place at 220 pounds.
- Matt Pritchard, senior, New Trier High School; third place at 120 pounds.
- Chris Alcock, senior, New Trier High School; third place at 126 pounds.
- Paul Papoutsis, senior, New Trier High School; fourth place at 160 pounds.
Area wrestlers that also qualified for next weekend's state tournament placing at the Barrington sectional meet on Saturday include:
- Jacob Suter, senior, Glenbrook South; first place at 220 pounds.
