North Shore Swimmer, Diver Aiming for Gold Saturday

See when to watch Deerfield diver Christina Loukas and Lake Forest native Matt Grevers live.

 

Christina Loukas, a Deerfield High School alumna, has advanced to the Olympic diving semifinals after finishing with a score of 330.45 to finish seventh of the 30 divers in the preliminary of the three-meter Olympic springboard competition Friday at the Aquatics Center at the London Games. 

She’ll be competing in Saturday’s semifinals at 8:30 a.m. Chicago time, or 2:30 p.m. London time. 

Lake Forest native Matt Grevers will team with Michael Phelps Saturday in the 4 X 100 medley relay final at 2:27 p.m. Chicago time and 8:27 p.m. in London.  If the U.S. team win the final event, Grevers would come home decked with two gold medals and a silver medal from the men’s 4 X 100 freestyle relay.
