Was your bike recently stolen?

Following the arrest of two North Shore bike thiefs, Wilmette and Winnetka Police are now making efforts to restore the stolen items to their rightful owners. Authorities released the above images Wednesday of the more than 25 high-end bikes and frames they recovered.

The dozens of swiped bikes were discovered in storage lockers tied to Kenneth Robertson and Gilberto Torres, according to a police statement released Tuesday. Robertson, 31, and Torres, 53, both Chicago residents, have been charged with two counts of felony theft and one count of possession of burglary tools.

Meanwhile Robertson has since posted bond, while Torres remains in Cook County Jail, according to police.

For anyone interested in seeing if their bike was recovered you would need to do the following: call the police if your bike was stolen from a train station or a public building (like the library) and give a description of the bike, as well as provide a serial number to showcase proof of ownership.
