The Village of Wilmette commemorated Veterans Day, honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Force with a short ceremony Friday in Veterans Park.
The ceremony included the laying of commemorative wreaths, a speech by Wilmette Village President Chris Canning and a rifle volley salute by the Wilmette Police Department.
