Power Outage Prompts Wilmette Village Hall Closure
An early morning thunderstorm has caused Village Hall to close for Monday.
A 34-year-old animal ordinance is up for revision in front of the village board of trustees.

Wilmette Village Hall will be closed for Monday due to power outages from an early morning thunderstorm, according to an e-alert.
"Village crews are surveying the community and working to clear streets and downed trees," the alert states.
Meanwhile the closure means that the evening's Park District Board meeting has been canceled and will be moved to a later date.
Officials are reiterating that power outages or downed wires should be reported to ComEd.
