Theft at Downtown Wilmette Store, Battery
The following arrest information was provided by the Wilmette Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
A construction worker came into the Wilmette Police Station to make a battery report on the morning of March 5, police reports state. He said that he had been involved in a dispute with another construction worker near the 1200 block of Gregory Ave.
Artain Nati, 48, of Park Ridge is being charged with theft of a shirt, according to Wilmette Police reports. The report states that security agents at Carsons apprehended him for theft of a shirt. He was charged under a local ordinance and released.
No Valid License
Jaime Serrano-Saucedo, 43, of Prospect Heights is being charged with driving without a valid license, according to Wilmette Police reports. The reports state that officers were investigating a traffic crash near the intersection of Wilmette and Park Ave. on March 6 when they determined that Serrano-Saucedo had no license. He was taken into custody, charged and released on bond.
Driving Under the Influence (4th Offense)
Linda A. Hill, 49, of Waukegan is being charged with driving under the influence, according to Wilmette Police reports. Hill was pulled over on the 200 block of Sheridan Rd. for traffic violations on March 6. Reports state that Hill was extremely erratic and confused, with dramatic mood swings and had to be taken to the Evanston ER for evaluation.
Hill failed the field sobriety tests and was taken into custody for DUI, the police reports state. Officers stated that several packets of a dark leafy substance were recovered from the center console wrapped in tin foil. Hill refused blood and urine samples, and a drug screen at the Evanston ER found PCP in her system, according to police. This was Hill's 4th DUI arrest.
Charles J. Lettner, 21, of Wilmette was arrested on March 6 after breaking a juvenile's nose during a physical confrontation on the 1300 block of Central Ave., Wilmette Police reports state.
