Tuesday Blotter: Resident Loses Thousands to Lottery Scam, Drunk Intruder on Linden Avenue
A copper downpipe was taken from a home on Greenleaf Avenue.
Auto Burglary
An offender removed electronic adapters and change from a car parked in an alley behind a home in the 1000 block of Forest Avenue.
Criminal Trespass
A trespasser was discovered at a residence in the 700 block of Linden Avenue on Saturday at 7:00 a.m. The offender, who appeared to be "highly intoxicated" according to police, entered the home through an unlocked back door.
Theft
A copper downpipe was taken from a residence in the 300 block of Greenleaf Avenue sometime over the weekend. The home is located near the Bahai Temple.
Lottery Scam
An elderly Wilmette resident sent thousands of dollars to places across the United States and Jamaica for ficticious lottery winnings. Police determined that the resident was a victim of a lottery scam.
