VIDEO: Cabaret Show Delivers Juggling, Magic and Striptease

Kiss Kiss Cabaret brings bawdy act to Wilmette Theater.

Kiss Kiss Cabaret, a Chicago-based burlesque troupe, landed at the Saturday night bringing with them song, magic and dancing ladies. The troupe has been performing weekly at the Greenhouse Theater in Chicago since January of this year, but many of the performers have been doing burlesque for much longer.

Chris Biddle, Director of Kiss Kiss Cabaret, stated, "the show is actually a remount of a show that happened in 2009, a Halloween-themed show. We just kept saying it's so much fun, we love working together and the audiences love it, let's do it on a weekly basis."

The show features a variety of acts including the magic of The Amazing Tomas, the comedy of Mr. Adam Burke, the visual wizardry of juggler Brad French, and the music of the Claptrap Family Orchestra. Of course there are also a handful of beautiful young women known as the "Kiss Kiss Coquettes" who perform a number of sensually themed danced routines throughout the show. Audience participation is encouraged, and those in attendance for Saturday's show did not hold back.

"The crowd was really responsive," stated Biddle. "In burlesque you spend so much time trying to get the audience on board with you, to cheer and holler and enjoy the show vocally. That enhances it for everybody. They got on board really quickly. I could tell they were here to have fun."
