Taco Diablo on Davis was such a pleasant surprise. I went there with one of my co-teachers and then took my grown kids there for lunch the next day. Great food and really wonderful AND personable staff. Plan to go back with more friends and family.

Authentico has a good vibe and good margarhitas. LF Taxi is a good service. Noodles and Company WAS a good restaurant, but they proved to be slimeballs so it's no wonder they went out of business. Pasquesi Home and Garden isn't really new this past year, are they? Moderno was OK.

A new restaurant opened in Highwood in October 2012. It's located at 315 Waukegan Ave. and is called "Longitud315." It features excellent pan-American food. Note the spelling: no final "e" on "Longitud" and no space between the "d" and the "3."

My wife and I have eaten there and enjoyed it throughly. Their phone number is 847-926-7495.

Taco Diablo on Davis in Evanston. Great food in cool surroundings. A hip addition to a struggling strip of downtown.

For Evanston's list, you left off Delbe's Corner and Taco Diablo. These are two great additions to Davis St. west of the tracks. Technically, Sol Café is on the Chicago side of Howard St.

LuLu's Frozen Delights in Lake Bluff has the best service with the nicest people you could ever meet. I also found the cleanliness of their place to be better than most that I have been to. I can't find any better words to discribe their froyo, donuts, and coffee other than 5 stars.
