Retail Theft

Crysta M. Yactor, 19, 8330 Gross Point Rd., Morton Grove, was issued a local ordinance citation on Sept. 10 after she reportedly attempted to steal three small packages of luggage rubber bands from the Carson Prairie Scott department store, 3200 Lake Ave. Yactor reportedly purchased a $300 piece of luggage, but was seen by a store loss prevention officer attempting to steal nearly $26 worth of luggage rubber bands. Yactor later admitted to the theft, reportedly stating that she had an impulse to take the bands, police said.

Bike Theft

A bike valued at approximately $400 was stolen from an unlocked garage in the 1300 block of Ashland Avenue sometime between Aug. 18 and Sept. 9.

A specialized crossroad sports bike was stolen from a garage in an alley behind the 500 block of Maple Avenue sometime between 9 a.m. and 1:50 p.m. on Sept. 5. No valuation estimate of the bike was provided.

Five bikes valued were stolen from a garage in the 500 block of Linden Ave. sometime between 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 5 and 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 6. No valuation estimate of the bikes was provided.

Wallet Theft

A wallet was stolen from a locker room in the 400 block of Poplar Ave. sometime between 4 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 2. The wallet reportedly contained an Illinois driver’s license, a CTA bus card and a debit card.
