Possession of Cannabis
James R. Fabiszak, 46, 417 Belleview Ave., West Chicago, was charged May 5 with possession of cannabis between 10 to 30 grams and for excessive loud muffler following a traffic stop. He was issued a June 7 court date in Skokie.
Adetoye A. Adefeso, 24, 9627 Laramie, Skokie, was arrested May 3 on an outstanding warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia from Champaign County. He was also charged with speeding and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. He was later released after posting drivers license.
Cynthia Greene-Sklare, 56, 100 Garrison Ave., was charged May 5 with domestic battery. The victim has an active order of protection against Greene-Sklare and police learned that she kicked the victim during the argument.
A bicycle locked to a fence post behind Manor Care, 1027 Linden Ave., was stolen on May 3.
A locked Trek bicycle was stolen from the bike rack at the Metra Station, 722 Green Bay Rd., between April 30 and May 4. The cable lock on the bike was cut and left at the scene.
A resident in the 3200 block of Central Avenue reported that between January and May 2012 someone used her personal information to open a cell phone account, which now owes $2,000 in unpaid bills.
A resident in the 1000 block of Greenleaf Avenue reported that her computer was hacked on May 1 and used to send out emails stating that she was out of the country, had been mugged and needed money.
A resident in the 1900 block of Central Avenue reported that someone used his personal information and attempted to open a bank account on May 5.
A resident in the 400 block of Pine Manor Avenue reported that unauthorized charges of some $800 were made on her credit card between May 1 and 2.
Mike Bazanko, 56, 1777 Crystal Lane, Mt. Prospect, was charged May 1 with operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, operating a vehicle with improper registration and operating a vehicle without a safety certification. He was later released on a $1,500 bond and given a June 7 court date in Skokie.
Florencio Valderrabana-Vanegas, 25, 6139 N. Mozart St., Chicago, was charged May 1 with driving without a valid drivers license, speeding, operating a vehicle without insurance and driving without tail lights.
Burglary to Motor Vehicle
A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1700 block of Elmwood Avenue on May 3. No unauthorized charges appear to have been made on the stolen credit cards.
