 AY\, November 12\, 2012&nbsp\;\nFor the sixth year in a row\, Avoca Scho
 ol District has chosen to honor our Veterans on Veterans Day by keeping 
 our students in attendance where they can learn about the service these 
 dedicated men and women have given to our country.&nbsp\; Each teacher h
 as prepared a developmentally appropriate lesson or activity to help the
 ir students understand the sacrifice and service of this group of indivi
 duals.&nbsp\; Several of our students have family members who have serve
 d in the armed forces\, and some of those family members will be coming 
 to the schools to share their experiences with the classes of their rela
 tives.&nbsp\;\nThis year the Avoca School District would also like to th
 ank all of the Veterans of our community on Veterans Day by inviting the
 m to Avoca West Elementary School for a pancake breakfast sponsored by t
 he Avoca West Student Council.&nbsp\; Breakfast will be served from 8:30
 -9:30 a.m. in the school cafeteria.\nAvoca West Elementary School\nCafet
 eria\n235 Beech Drive\, Glenview\n8:30 a.m. &ndash\; 9:30 a.m.&nbsp\; Th
 e breakfast is sponsored by the Avoca West Student Council and open to a
 ll veterans and their families.&nbsp\; Our students look forward to the 
 opportunity to meet the veterans and thank them for their service to our
