Winnetka Covenant Church presents Organ Recital

An organ concert featuring the newly restored and enlarged Wicks pipe organ at Winnetka Covenant Church will be held on Sunday, September 30, at 3:00 p.m. Guest organist is Christopher Urban, well-known recitalist around the Chicago-area. The forty-year-old organ has recently undergone significant mechanical and tonal improvements by the firm of Ericksen & Christian Associates, organ rebuilders and technicians.

Chris Urban is organist and associate director of music at First Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights. In addition, he serves as accompanist for the many choirs of First Presbyterian, including: the Chancel Choir, Chamber Singers, Men’s Chorus and the Westminster Youth Chorale. He is also the featured recitalist in the churches “Wednesday at Noon” concert series and is a frequent recitalist at churches in the Chicago-land area.
