DESCRIPTION:Popular band "Dick Holliday &amp\; the Bamboo Gang" will play
  a two-hour set in the Grand Food Center parking lot this Saturday from 
 2-4 p.m. The grocer is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a "customer
  appreciation" event at its Winnetka store\, 606 Green Bay Road\, from n
 oon- 4 p.m.\nThe sounds of funky rock\, Caribbean rhythms and soulful vo
 cals from headliner band &ldquo\;Dick Holliday and the Bamboo Gang&rdquo
 \; will be heard this Saturday\, May 19\, in the parking lot of The Gran
 d Food Center\, 606 Green Bay Road.&nbsp\;\nThe popular band remains a C
 hicagoland fan favorite after nearly three decades of performing. Two of
  the band&rsquo\;s members hail from Northbrook and Skokie.\n&ldquo\;We&
 rsquo\;re incredibly honored that Dick Holliday &amp\; the Bamboo Gang a
 greed to perform a two-hour set for our shoppers\,&rdquo\; says Grand Fo
 od Center co-owner Chris Barber. &ldquo\;Everyone who follows local musi
 c is very familiar with this band\,&rdquo\; he adds\, &ldquo\;and they&r
 squo\;re sure to have everyone dancing.&rdquo\;\nAs its way of thanking 
 area residents for their patronage\, The Grand Food Center looks forward
  to hosting its 25th Anniversary "Customer Appreciation" celebration eve
 nt in grand style.\nThe event will feature an outdoor organic fruit and 
 produce market. There will be ample tastings of the grocer&rsquo\;s &ldq
 uo\;Grand Signature&rdquo\; items\, including its dips\, homemade salads
 \, and bakery goods. Known as one of the North Shore&rsquo\;s top floris
 ts\, The Grand will offer sale prices on many of its floral items on dis
 play outside.\nThere will also be a BBQ with complimentary mini-hot dogs
  and hamburgers\, and visits from food-themed\, costumed characters Ches
 ter Cheetah and Oreo Man. Raffle prizes will be awarded throughout the d
 ay.\nThe afternoon festivities will culminate at 3:45 p.m. when one luck
 y customer will be selected to win $2\,500 in free groceries. A mailing 
 to area residents this week contained an in-store coupon and contest ent
 ry blank in their mailboxes.\nFor The Grand Food Center\, the opportunit
 y to celebrate 25 years in business only comes around once.\n&ldquo\;Our
  Winnetka and Glencoe neighbors are the reason we&rsquo\;ve been able to
  survive\,&rdquo\; explains Grand co-owner and Glencoe native Chris Barb
 er. &ldquo\;While we can&rsquo\;t compete with the big-box stores on pri
 ce\, our patrons recognize that exceptional customer service is often wo

 h anniversary celebration is our way of thanking them for their loyalty.

 a Fire Department will dispatch a fire truck and firefighters for ongoin
 g demonstrations in the store&rsquo\;s parking lot. The Winnetka Police
