The event is free and open to the public. No rese rvations are necessary and light refreshments will be served.\nThis fall \, residents of Wilmette were invited to nominate buildings\, gardens an d/or landscapes that reflected orenhanced the historic character of the Village. The nominations were judged by a panel of preservation professi onals in October. At the Awards Ceremony\, theowners of the winning prop erties will receive certificates of recognition from the Wilmette Histor ic Preservation Commission. Eligible categories were stewardship\, resto ration and sympathetic addition. Four residential properties will be rec ognized along with one public space and one open space.\nFollowing the a wards ceremony\, Kathy Hussey-Arntson\, Museum Director\, and Patrick Le ary\, Museum Curator\, will discuss their newest book\, &ldquo\;Wilmette &rdquo\; published inSeptember by Arcadia Publishers. Hussey-Antson and Leary will present an in-depth look at how the book was developed and ta lk specifically about the fascinating stories behind some rare photos in cluded in the \;book. \;Autographed books will be available for purchase.
