Michele is the author of Calli Be Gold, a middle grade novel published in 2011 by Wendy Lamb Books/Random House, which was named a Best Book by the Bank Street College of Education. She also has been a columnist for the Buffalo Grove Countryside (a Pioneer Press newspaper), a public relations specialist, and a freelance magazine writer, publishing articles in Parents, Parenting, American Baby, and Chicago Parent.
