The North Shore Harmonizers, an independent women’s a cappella chorus in the barbershop tradition, will sing a Valentine’s Day concert for the Mather Place of Wilmette retirement community, 2801 Old Glenview Rd., at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 14. This lively concert with a love-related theme will feature songs, many from Broadway, such as “I’m Getting Married in the Morning” from My Fair Lady, and “Moonglow.”
Founded in 1952, the Harmonizers just celebrated their 60th-anniversary year. They perform at their own public concerts, at special and holiday programs for senior citizens and other Chicago-area community groups throughout the year, and at farmers' markets during the summer.
