DESCRIPTION:Set against the backdrop of a setting sun and a cool Lake Mic
 higan breeze\, historic Plaza del Lago in Wilmette\, will serve as the h
 ost venue for the Pink Moon Run &amp\; Walk 8K\, created by A Sister&rsq
 uo\;s Hope\, scheduled for Saturday\, May 5\, 2012.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n&nbsp
 \;\nThe festivities will get underway at 6 p.m. with a welcome and the 8
 K Walk step off.&nbsp\; The 8K Run will start at 7 p.m. and all particip
 ants will be back at Plaza del Lago by approximately 8:30 p.m. for the c
 losing and an awards presentation in the company of their friends and fa
 mily.&nbsp\; Prizes will go to top fund raisers\, as well as the top mal
 e and female finishers in the run.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;\n&nbsp\;\nThe route wi
 ll wind south along Sheridan Road past neatly kept neighborhoods\, into 
 view of the intriguing architecture of the Bahai Temple at Linden Avenue
 \, along the beautiful lakefront\, and eventually returning runners and 
 walkers to a pink-lit Plaza del Lago.\n&nbsp\;\nPink Moon is a fundraisi
 ng event\, though it also increases awareness about breast cancer\, and 
 its primary purpose is to generate significant support for breast cancer
  researchers who are looking for better diagnostics\, individualized tre
 atment and a cure. The minimum donation requirement is $80 per adult (le
 ss for children and women/men who have had breast cancer)\, and the rout
 e is 8K because one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
 \nMoney raised by the Pink Moon Run &amp\; Walk will support research pr
 ojects at Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center\, Northwestern University Me
 dical Center\, Chicago\, and to Prof. JoEllen Welsh\, Cancer GeNYsis Cen
 ter\, University of New York at Albany.\nCathy Seabaugh\, a Chicago resi
 dent\, founded a Sister&rsquo\;s Hope in honor of her sister\, Shelia\, 
 who faced breast cancer in 1999.&nbsp\; A Sister&rsquo\;s Hope events in
  the U.S. and The Netherlands over the past five years have generated ne
