Have you ever wanted to write something that really explains who you are? Something that captures the essence of your life? And then you realize: that is so overwhelming! Well, you are not alone. Writers are always trying to tell the story of who they are and where they are from. Poetry can be a great way to tell your story in a short and fun way.

In this workshop we will explore elements of poetry and examine how a few poets have used this form to capture the stories of their lives. Borrowing from the styles of these poets, we will write our own poems. Poets and non-poets welcome!
