 obert Redford and ski legend Warren Miller. The event will take place on
  Thursday\, April 19\, 2012 at the North Shore Center for the Performing
  Arts in Skokie\, IL. The film screened at the Sundance Film Festival in
  January 2012 to critical acclaim.\nProduced and directed by Kurt Miller
 \, The Movement profiles   five disabled athletes who regain a sense of 
 freedom and newfound   confidence through skiing. The 41-minute film als
 o features Wilmette   based\, Adaptive Adventures\, which has provided l
 ife-changing outdoor   sporting opportunities to more than 6500 physical
 ly disabled individuals   since 1999.\n&ldquo\;This film connects people
  of all abilities by supporting the idea   that 'If I can do this. I can
  do anything.' Adaptive sports allow   people like me and others with di
 sabilities to find independence and   freedom through mobility.&rdquo\; 
 &ndash\; Joel Berman\, Founder and Executive Director\nMore than 300 peo
 ple are expected to attend the Chicago premiere.   Guests will have the 
 opportunity to meet the filmmakers\, profiled   athletes and past member
 s of the US Paralympic ski team at a VIP   reception prior to the screen
 ing. There will be an All Abilities Sports   Expo prior to the film\, as
  well where the public will have the   opportunity to try out a variety 
 of adaptive sports. After the film\,   Adaptive Adventures will honor a 
 select group of Wounded Warriors who   have succeeded in sports despite 
 their physical limitations. They will   also be honoring the Chicago Bla
