DESCRIPTION:The MARYLAND STATE BOYCHOIR\, under the direction of Stephen 
 Holmes and Joseph Shortall\, will present a concert on Saturday\, July 1
 4\, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at NORTHFIELD COMMUNITY CHURCH. The concert will f
 eature the Tour Choir in a thrilling performance of a variety of music\,
  including sacred masterworks\, contemporary\, gospel\, spirituals\, and
  folksongs. The choir is singing as part of a two-week tour. For additio

 choir musical programs have included performances of Howard Shore's Fell
 owship of the Rings Symphony with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Its 
 annual Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols has sold out three performanc
 es for the past eleven years. Other memorable performances include a tri
 bute to Dr. Martin Luther King with the Washington Choral Arts Society a
 t the Kennedy Center\, The Thirteenth Annual Baltimore Boychoir Festival
  directed by Dr. Paul Rardin\, and singing for the Opening Ceremony of t
 he PGA Presidents Cup. The Boychoir has also collaborated with renowned 
 international ensembles\, including the Bonifamtes Boychoir from the Cze
 ch Republic and the Drakensberg Boy's Choir of South Africa.
