Wilmette Rotary “Wine & Dine Around the World” Supports Service Projects
The Wilmette Rotary Club’s premier annual benefit, “Wine and Dine Around the World,” will feature fine wines and hors d’oeuvres from top growing regions, a silent auction, festivities and fun – all at the Kenilworth Club, Friday evening Nov. 9th. The public is welcome and proceeds benefit the Wilmette Rotary Club’s impressive local, national and international service projects.
“Wine and Dine Around the World” celebrates the cultures and wines of famed growing regions, supplied by The Bottle Shop of Wilmette. Paired gourmet hors d’oeuvres come from Depot Nuevo and The Noodle of Wilmette.
The Wilmette Rotary Club has sponsored valued service projects for nearly 90 years. Recent examples are 15,000 books to inner-city schools, Thanksgiving dinner for 75 Wilmette seniors, contributions to New Trier Township organizations, water filtration for 100,000 people in India, an AIDS clinic in Zambia and more. The club supports Rotary’s “End Polio Now” campaign, a 25-year worldwide program that’s brought polio to the brink of extinction.
Advance tickets at $65 and sponsorships are available at 847-910-4902 or www.wilmetterotary.org.” The Rotary Club of Wilmette meets noon Wednesdays at McCormick & Schmick’s Old Orchard for luncheon, speakers and camaraderie.
