Head to Wilmette’s Lakefront Sept. 21 Take Part in the World's Largest Shoreline Cleanup

Take part in one of the world’s largest shoreline cleanups: Join the Rotary Club of Wilmette Harbor at Gillson Park, Wilmette for a beach sweep from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21.

“Join thousands of volunteers who will haul trash and assess conditions along our beautiful Great Lakes’ shores to keep our treasured beaches healthy,” said Chris Simcox, the Rotary Club of Wilmette Harbor beach sweep chair. “In Wilmette, we expect more than 150 to 200 volunteers of all ages to participate in the Adopt-a-Beach event.”

In Wilmette, the beach sweep starts at the Gillson Park Beach House at 9 a.m. and moves north along the lakefront.  Register at www.greatlakesadopt.org. Questions? Contact Simcox at chris_simcox@sbcglobal.net
