Pickell Family Foundation to Host Wine Tasting Fundraiser for Fuller Center for Housing

The Pickell Family Foundation, the philanthropic entity of Orren Pickell Building Group, will host a wine tasting on March 6th, 2014, 5-7 pm, at Orren Pickell Design Showroom (1799 Willow Rd, Northfield) to benefit Fuller Center for Housing, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating poverty housing worldwide. Fuller Center for Housing created partnerships within communities between churches, schools, people and businesses, like Orren Pickell Building Group, so affordable homes can be built or renovated for men, women, and families unable to secure adequate housing by conventional means. Through Fuller Center for Housing’s Save a House/Make a Home initiative, the organization is supporting families in need and contributing to the success of the housing market.

“We’re very excited about hosting an event that will benefit this incredible organization,” says Orren Pickell, president and CEO of Orren Pickell Building Group. “Everyone deserves a place to call home and the more people know about the Fuller Center the greater the impact we can all make on so many people’s lives.”

In addition to the wine tasting event, the Pickell Family Foundation has pledged to match up to $25,000 to the Fuller Center for Housing. “We’re encouraging our loyal clientele and the community at large to complement our efforts by donating as well,” adds Pickell. “Donations will provide housing for a disadvantaged family that is currently living in substandard housing or is homeless.”

Donations can be made here https://fullercenter.org/donations by Thursday, March 6.

Tickets for the fundraising event, which is open to the public, are $35 in advance and $45 at the door. “Our goal is to raise awareness so that people in our community know exactly what the Fuller Center is all about,” says Pickell. “Coming together to help provide affordable housing to families in need is one of the best ways for people to ‘pay it forward’ and give back.”
