Cardinal George to Speak at North Shore Temple
The public and members of the Jewish and Catholic communities are invited to Northbrook's Temple Beth-El Friday at 8:00 p.m., for the Archbishop of Chicago's visit.
Francis George, Cardinal of the Catholic Church and Archbishop of Chicago, is scheduled to speak at Temple Beth-El in Northbrook, 3610 Dundee Rd., on Friday, March 22, at 8:00 p.m. This will be one of his first public appearances after returning from Rome where he attended the installation of Pope Francis.
“Cardinal George has a very special relationship with the Chicago area Jewish community,” Beth-El's Rabbi Sidney Helbraun said in a press release. “We are honored that he will be celebrating Shabbat with our congregation and friends in the Catholic community.”

Temple Beth-El invites the public and members of the Jewish and Catholic community for the event, titled "Is Religion Relevant in a Secular Society?"
“There is no doubt that members of both the Jewish and Catholic communities have an endless list of questions for Cardinal George,” Helbraun said in the release. “We are honored that our community will be one of the first in the area to have his ear after his historic trip.”
