American Education Week Breakfast and Classroom Visitation
- When: Wednesday, November 14, 2012, 8:00 a.m.
- Where: Marie Murphy School, 2921 Illinois Rd., Wilmette
- Why Go?: American Education Week will be celebrated in the Avoca schools during the week of Nov. 12 through 16. All classrooms will be open to parents and community members to visit and observe our teachers and students in action!

Happy Holidays Open House in downtown Wilmette

- Where: Village of Wilmette, 1200 Wilmette Ave., Wilmette
- Why Go?: Taking place in downtown Wilmette, this event will offer special sales, refreshments, in-store entertainment,and a festive bounty of surprises to celebrate all downtown Wilmette has to offer.

Wilmette Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

- Where: Congregation Sukkat Shalom, 1001 Central Ave., Wilmette
- Why Go?: Wilmette Interfaith Religious Leaders (WIRL) are sponsoring the service. Enjoy beautiful music and messages of peace and gratitude. Refreshments will be served after the service. Donations of canned food will be gratefully accepted to benefit the Wilmette Food Pantry.
