  • Why Go?: Start the weekend with jazz with the Adam Kromelow/Larson Quintet.  Pianist Adam Kromelow, a Wilmette native, returns to the Library with Adam Larson who plays saxophones - that's plural, as in tenor, alto and soprano.  Both musicians are rising young jazz stars based in New York.  Also in the ensemble are Jason Burger on drums, Martin Nevinson on bass and Nils Weinhold on guitar.

  • Where: , 100 Linden Ave, Wilmette
  • Why Go?: More than 200 talented voices from nine nations will sing beautiful sacred music at the 2012 Baha'i Choral Festival with two free public concerts on Sunday May 27th at Wilmette’s renowned Baha'i Temple.  Rich harmonies and uplifting music will fill the 1,200-seat Baha'i House of Worship beginning at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. that Sunday.  The Sixth Annual Baha'i Choral Festival, a very popular North Shore institution, builds on tremendously successful prior events. Sunday performances are a cappella (without instruments) and include classical liturgical music of the Baha'i Faith and other religions, as well as gospel music and other multicultural selections.
