This is the Alter Israelitischer Friedhof (Old Israelite Cemetery) in Munich. Our family was there on Friday July 22. My daughter Lily is in the green jacket on the left and Eva is in the blue jacket on the right. My grandfather Sigwart Cahnmann is buried in this grave along with his brother-in-law Max Kramer. The other 2 names on the grave are my grandmother Hedwig Cahnmann and my great aunt, Clementine Kramer. Hedwig and Clementine were both deported from their homes in Munich in the spring of 1942 and died in the Holocaust. Hedwig was sent to Piaski near Lublin in Poland where she and her companions were murdered immediately. Clementine was brought to Theresienstadt, a concentration camp in what is now the Czech Republic. She died there in November of that year.
