Nestled in the Linden Square business district of Wilmette, amidst cleaners and dentists, is . For 15 years, store owner Vernon Wiley has shared his passion for the art form with an expansive range of readers.

Wiley opened up to Patch to chat about Comic-Con (also known as Wizzard World) which . As comics continue to fascinate people of all ages, Wiley said he finds the different types of conventions helpful and enjoyable for any level of comic consumers, providing casual browsing and serious trading or selling.

Among his store's selection are diehard classics like Superman, Spider-Man and Batman, as well as newer series that journey through history and social issues. Wiley said in the age of digital entertainment, the physical comic book still plays a pivotal role in taking one's mind away to another place.
