Wilmette Historical Museum to Host Housewalk May 19

Wilmette Historical Society will be hosting its 26th annual house walk May 19 featuring four homes built since 1970, including a green home, according to a press release.
Modern Homes, Innovative Designs features homes that were designed to create flexible and open spaces. Three of the featured architects have lived in Wilmette and produced designs that connect the indoors and outdoors in innovative ways, including one on the lakeshore.

Each home uses sustainable elements in its design including reclaimed material, adaptive reuse and low energy technology such as geo-thermal heating and cooling.
