Wilmette Public Library Hosts Green Books Discussion

Materials at the library and Winnetka's The Book Stall offer a great way to learn more about the environment.

On Wednesday, Oct. 26 an enthusiastic group of about 20 people attended the Greener Choices Series at the , sponsored by the Wilmette Public Library and Go Green Wilmette. The topic was The Best of Green Books and those attending discussed green books they found interesting and meaningful. Roberta Rubin, owner of in Winnetka, joined the group, bringing many of her favorite books which are available at her store. Nancy Wagner, a librarian at the Wilmette Public Library, presented a wide range of books and films related to green topics that are part of the library’s extensive collection.

The gathering was very interactive and enthusiastic. Several books and films were discussed as ideas for future series selections.
