Work to Continue at Elmwood Dunes Preserve

A Spring Work Day has been set for May 18.

Spring Work Day at Elmwood Dunes Preserve is set for Sat. May 18 from 10 a.m. to noon, an email sent out by the Friends of Elmwood Dunes on Tues. stated. Work will include picking garlic mustard (which can smother native wildflowers and grasses) and uncovering the rest of the stone path at the top of the bluff ad picking up glass scraps. No tools will be necessary, just an optional pair of work gloves.

The Village of Wilmette has recently hired a contractor to reset the stone stairs, and work on that project will begin soon.
