GREAT AGE DAYTIME PROGRAMS PRESENTS RODGERS & HART IN HOLLYWOOD multimedia presentation by Charles TroyThe Depression forced Rodgers & Hart to leave Broadway for Hollywood, with very mixed results. But their major effort was a neglected classic, Love Me Tonight, starring Maurice Chevalier and Jeanette MacDonald. You’ll be amazed how vital this 1932 film still seems. We’ll also see scenes from an obscure and curious film from the next year, Hallelujah, I’m a Bum, starring Al Jolson – and clips from a 1929 short in which Rodgers & Hart played themselves!Tickets $10 in advance, $12 at the door Wednesday, August 15 @ 1:30pmTickets online at www.wilmettetheatre.com or call Box Office at 847-251-7424
