Library Hosts World Fair Trade Day Celebration

Sample fair trade coffee and chocolates and see displays of fair trade products at a World Fair Trade Day celebration in the Auditorium.  Ten Thousand Villages of Evanston and The Mustard Seed of Lake Forest will display jewelry, scarves, housewares and home decor products created by female artisans in developing countries.  Chicago Fair Trade executive director Nancy Jones will talk about how by buying fair trade products, you provide a fair wage for producers in developing countries, particularly women who are trying to lift themselves and their families out of poverty.  Learn more at www.chicagofairtrade.org.
