St. Francis Xavier Summerfest

The 6th annual St. Francis Xavier Summerfest bash is guaranteed to deliver a much-needed music and dance fix to folks from across the Northshore.

People from all over Wilmette and surrounding suburbs have embraced this annual event as the ‘unofficial’ Chicago-style block party of the Northshore.  Summerfest continues to grow every year as word has spread and people look to the final weekend of August to send summer out with a bang.

Rain or shine, Summerfest will be rocking Wilmette on Saturday, August 25th in the St. Francis Xavier School parking lot, located at 9th Street and Linden Ave., (or the school gym in the event of rain) and will kick-off immediately following the 5:00 p.m. Mass.  Friends, family and neighbors 21 and over are in for a night of food, drink and groove when local fave, T Byrdz, hits the stage.  “We try to mix things up a little each year to keep the event fresh and unpredictable, and this year we are thrilled to welcome a fun, home-grown band that we know everyone loves.  It promises to be a night we won’t soon forget!,” said Suzy McNamara, one of several co-chairs of this year’s Summerfest.
