The Shakespeare Project's Richard II

The roles of power and leadership are examined as The Shakespeare Project of Chicago returns to the Library with Richard II, a tale of political intrigue.  The play is a fascinating psychological portrait of a man who questions his fitness to be king and the subject who passes sentence on him.  Directed by Artistic Director Peter Garino, the reading will feature a cast of Shakespeare Project veterans who bring this extraordinary play to life.

Thanks to funding by Friends of the Wilmette Library, the Shakespeare Project begins its ninth season of Library theatrical reading performances.
