Radio Personality Judy Markey Headlines Fundraiser for Links

Many women remember Judy Markey from her days as co-host of “The Kathy and Judy Show, ” the award-winning radio talk show that ran for 20 years on WGN Radio 720. 

On October 26, women will have the opportunity to chat live and in person with Judy at Wine & Whine, a fundraising event for Links – North Shore Youth Health Service.  “Judy is just hilarious, and we expect the evening’s conversation to cover just about any topic you can imagine,” says Peggy Orloff, Links Board Member and Events Chair.  Attendees will be invited to answer one question on a note card:  if you were calling your best friend tonight, what would you be griping about?  Judy will pull some of the cards as a starting point for discussion, and the laughs will follow – along with wine, hors d’oeuvres, and dessert.

The event will be held from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at The Art Center of Highland Park, 1957 Sheridan Road in Highland Park.  Advance tickets are recommended and can be purchased at the Links website (www.linksyouth.org) or by phone (847.441.6191) for $40.  Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $45.

Links – North Shore Youth Health Service empowers young people to make informed, responsible decisions about their health, well-being, and sexuality.  The organization provides health education in the schools, support services for sexual minority youth, reproductive health care, and counseling.
