Get Out March 11-13: Raw Food, Poetry and Mavis Staples Concert

  1. Where/When: Whole Foods Market in Deerfield, Thursday, March 10 at 6 p.m.
    Why Go: Open to all raw food and health enthusiasts, whether beginning a raw food journey or eager to share their experience. Come learn about health and nutrition at its finest. Share stories, recipes and enjoy spending time with like-minded individuals!

  2. Art Exhibit Reception in Wilmette
    Where/When: Wilmette Historical Museum, Thursday, March 10 at 6 p.m.
    Why Go: These works of art featured in the exhibit include, Dick Tracy newspaper cartoons by Chester Gould, a George Lusk mural of early Wilmette, Christian Carsten's imaginative wood-carvings, and Marian Witt's whimsical lithographs. All are invited and light refreshments will be served.

    Why Go: Showcase your talents and share up to six poems.

  4. St. Patrick’s for Patricks at Chicago’s Skydeck
    Where/When: All day Saturday, March 12 at Chicago’s Skydeck
    Why Go: The Skydeck Chicago at Willis Tower is honoring St. Patrick’s Day by celebrating, well, namely you – if your name is Patrick, that is. Access is free all day for anyone whose first, middle, or last name is Patrick.Those named Patrick simply need to show a valid ID with name and picture for their free access to everything Skydeck Chicago has to offer, including views of up to 50 miles and four states and the popular “Ledge.”

  5. Where/When: Saturday, March 12, 8 p.m. at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie
    Why Go: The Grammy-nominated gospel singer performs.
