Self-Serve Frozen Yogurt Store Opening in Downtown Wilmette

Cocomero, a self-serve frozen yogurt store, has begun construction in downtown Wilmette. The store will open at 1163 Wilmette Ave. in the old Chen and Chen location.

A Cocomero location opened last fall in Downer's Grove and that location carries around a dozen flavors, ranging from vanilla to peanut butter. Diners can then add some of the 30 offered toppings — including fruits, candy and cereal — to their concoction before weighing their cup and paying for it.

The Downer's Grove location also offers bubble tea, smoothies and lattes. There's no word yet if the Wilmette location will offer similar items.
