Two Decades of Sports and Rock N' Roll in Downtown Winnetka

Looking for a signed Michael Jordan jersey for under a million bucks? Bleacher Sports in Winnetka has one.

How much would you pay for a signature? At Bleachers Sports & Framing, the right John Hancock could cost you upwards of $5,000.

The family-owned store at 557 Chestnut St. in downtown Winnetka specializes in valuable trading cards, framing, sports and rock n' roll memorabilia, and in-store signings.

Among the collectibles you can find at Bleachers is a Pearl Jam concert poster signed by Eddie Vedder after their 2013 Wrigley Field concert, a jersey signed by Argentinian soccer player Lionel Messi, even a $12,000 Andy Pafko baseball card.

"Everything [in the store] is authenticated by a known, third party authenticator," said Sam McDonough, who runs the store day-to-day.

Some of the guests Bleachers has had for in-store signing includes Mike Ditka, Luol Deng, Brian Urlacher and Patrick Kane.

"You hear negative stories about [Kane] and I found none of them were really true from my impression of him," McDonough said. "He was a really humble kid."
