Corn and tomatoes are in season at the Wilmette French Market and are bursting with their vibrant flavors. Whether you have been meaning to recreate those Mexican Elotes you’ve recently tried, or you just want to indulge in the classic flavors of a homemade Caprese Salad – the farmers at the French market provide those essential ingredients.   

Don’t forget its National Farmer’s Market Week, until August 11; another reason to visit the French market and join in on the festivities.

Each Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through November 3; Bensidoun USA hosts the open-air market in the Metra parking lot in downtown Wilmette. Public markets have been a long-standing tradition in Europe — a place where people gather daily to choose from the best produce, crafts and other goods their geographic region had to offer.
