Wilmette Community Nursery School: Last Observation Day (Open House)

  • Where: Wilmette Community Nursery School, 1125 Wilmette Ave, Wilmette
  • Why Go?: Enrollment for the 2013-14 school year is now open. Prospective parents are invited to come to our last "Observation Day". Meet the director, tour the school while in session, and learn about the school philosophy, programs, staff and registration process. Call ahead to reserve a space on the tour.

Holiday Party on the Parkway in Kenilworth

  • When: Thursday, December 13, 2012, 6:00 p.m.
  • Where: 521 Park Dr., Kenilworth
  • Why Go?: The party gives people an opportunity to tour Kenilworth businesses while sampling dining on small portions at each stop. The event will also feature an opportunity to win a trip for two for five  nights at the Caledonian, a Waldorf Astoria hotel in Scotland.

“It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” by Joe Landry at the Oil Lamp Theater

  • Where: 1723 Glenview Rd., Glenview
  • Why Go?: In this adaptation of the famous movie the intimate space of Glenview’s Oil Lamp Theater is transformed into the 1940s radio studio of New York station WBFR. Audiences will be whisked back in time to the era of radio drama as they watch five actors create all the characters who populate the magical world of Bedford Falls.
